How Birmingham, Southall and a generation of children living between worlds built the first global era of Punjabi music, and why Britain failed to build the industry around it
This is an excellent article, thank you for writing it! I had coincidentally gone down a rabbit hole a few days ago of looking into British Bhangra and it's evolution, to see what happened to the artists who started it. Love the analysis and comparison with Punjabi music from Canada.
Brilliant write up. Next, may be an article on evolution of Punjabi Cinema?!
